Early Dismissal

They let us out today at 1:30 because of possible freezing rain. It is just raining right now, but it could freeze soon enough. We were hit with a nasty storm last weekend, and there are still thousands of people without power. I have had power all this time, but another blast could easily change that.

I am still at work catching up on things, so I can get my head above water. Gibbs will find out soon enough that teaching requires that you hold your breath for incredible amounts of time. If you are unable to do that, then you need to invest in a snorkle or scuba equipment. I guess Gibbs and I both took scuba at ISU. We are prepared, but it is still hard to get a breath above the surface.

I hope that the weather passes you all by, and that the robins soon say hello to you.

Wow. Let out early because of "possible" freezing rain. Seems that things have changed a bit since the days when I was in school.

Hey I am having an influence on the district. Stop everything if it looks ominous. If it is cloudy, I say shut it down. :)

They're all afraid of the liability.

After the tragedy in Alabama, look for schools to be vacated if a strong wind blows.
