Snow Day Number Three

Today I did absolutely nothing, and it felt great! I watched a lot of coverage about Super Tuesday and the first two Planet of the Apes movies. There was a P of the A's marathon on TBS today.

We didn't get the snow like we thought, but it was enough to keep people off the roads. I did see a wampa walk across my yard this afternoon. He was loud and very scary. His hair was not white , but it was a little messed up. He growled at me and then took me down as I was shoveling the front steps. We rumbled awhile then I took him inside to get warm. Right now he is sitting next to me eating a bowl of Frosted Mini-Wheats.

I hope you all were warm and dry as you had to work today. I thought of you guys a lot as I sat on my bum.

Very nice. I've managed to work the afternoon or the entire day from home every day over the past two weeks, until today. Jury duty for Sharon.

And Wednesday, I had a sudden and important need to fight off sickeness, so I had one of those rare, amazingly relaxing days as Sharon let me have the whole day to myself (e.g. she played zone defense on the girls) so I could relax and rest.

Glad that you had the opportunity to get back on track health wise. Working form home is more or less productive for you?

Less. Definitely less. I try, but inevitably I end up helping out with moments of childcare or other household responsibilities. I'm also far more likely to enjoy a cinnimon twist and coffee at the neighborhood coffee shop during an hour-long coffee break.

On top of all that, my 17" CRT monitor makes working with large format maps more difficult.

All that said, I'm not wasting an hour and a half on commute & walking a quarter mile from the parking ramp to my desk.
