Phelp's Youth Pavilion

Last week the entire second grade class went to the brand new Youth Pavilion which is attached to the Waterloo Recreation Center for the Arts. Our school spent two years collecting change from students and staff so that we may have a ceramic tile with our name on it. I guess the money went to help pay for an exhibit, but I am not sure. The entire idea of collecting change so that we can be recognized is a pretty vain venture. However, I didn't have a say in the ordeal. We were the first grade to attend this brand new attraction from my school, and I have to say that it was a good time. I really suggest it to anyone who has young children and that have elderly parents in the community.

Here is a view from a Youth Pavilion window of downtown Winterloo. There are a ton of interactive things for kids to get their hands on and interesting displays at this Youth Pavilion. The offical grand opening will be in April. The address is: www.phelpsyouthpavilion.org/ I didn't show any of the cool displays because they had pictures of the students in them and I didn't want to show them without the parents permission.

I would have to say that this attraction is much better than the Grout Museum. I should be fair and say that they are close to finishing a huge addition to the Grout. There is a full size WWII aircraft and the front end of a ship going from what I can see from the highway on my way to and from work.

If you already read my post but didn't read the comments, I cleaned up the pravilions and changed them to pavilion. I put Ra in the pavilion because all the kids were jumping out from behind corners screaming Ra. Since I forgot to mention this in my post before, I decided to say something about it now.
