Poll Answer
The Bald Eagle is known as a kleptoparasite. Although it can catch it's own food, it really spends more time as a scavanger. It will steal from another animals kill and depend on others to survive. Ben Franklin wanted the wild turkey to represent our country but was out voted. He knew that the bald eagle was a scavanger and didn't think that it had the right character.
