Friday night was great. Dan is a great host who knows how to give a friend a good time. The list is long, but we have a strong will for getting it checked off. If there was a theme for today it might be Lights, Camera, Action! Here is the first of many short films shot throughout the day. Some of the films shot on purpose while others were mistakes. Here is Dan coming out of the house for the second time because he forgot his keys and the trash.
The CD that I was holding while shooting this masterpiece fell without damage. Thank you Jesus! The last thing that I wanted to do this weekend was to buy Dan a new CD. It was Willie Nelson and another artist or two. We listened to it on the way to Dan's neighborhood coffee shop (Steamworks?). It seems as if we drove up and down the parkway about a dozen different times. A close second to Pat G's local grocery store runs.
Even though I am not a coffee drinker, I enjoy visiting Dan's little nook of enjoyment. Dan ordered the waffle and some coffee while I ordered some calories of my own. After all we had a big day ahead of us. We had a small conversation and enjoyed reading some current articles on the local sport scene. Dan also showed be his very fine article in the neighborhood paper about The Warren. Great job Dan!
Some of the conversation gravitated around the topic of what to tackle first on the list of non-stop excitement. The Bell Museum was near the top. Right behind that would be the Quaking Bog. I don't know if any of the readers have been to either place before, if not I highly recommend them.
Before we headed out of the Steamworks Coffee Shop, I had to finish my load of training food. The blueberry muffin was delicious. Who orders a smoothie on a very chilly November morning? Clogger does that's who. It was made of fresh strawberry and banana. Muffin or Cinnamon twist? Why choose when you can eat both? Oh, don't forget the yummy butter. I didn't eat all that butter don't worry. I am not that insane about getting super fat.
Coming up soon is a visit to the Quaking Bog, Bell Museum, and Lucy's school.

Steamworks, of course, part and parcel of the TDE.
Dude, you're fine with November smoothies. If no one else ordered them, they wouldn't offer them.
One of the new owners of the place is a baker. Muffins & such, ordered there, have never tasted better.
What a kick-off to the day!
As i check for comments, I am getting hungry looking at the food.
Good times, and yes, trips driving up and down the parkway (or walking) are also part and parcel of the TDE.
Well - that's not really my fault. It's the way TO anything.
That's like saying "9th Avenue was part of the TME" when you lived on Mitchell.
Just imagine if there was a statue of Abe Lincoln on Mitchell. How cool would that be?
Depends on whether it's the vengeful Abe.
looks very yummy
all of it
