Most of you don't know that my aunt was in the hospital since last Saturday. She went in because they found a mass growing in her brain. They operated and took three biopsies. We are waiting to see what the people in Rochester say. The doctor here said that it looks like it is cancer and that there is nothing they can do. It is on her left side and if removed would leave her in a veggie state for the rest of her life. If it was on the right side, they could take it out no problem. Anyway, she was given somewhere from 37 to 53 weeks.
I have been trying to be as positive as possible around her and to encourage her to do the things she desires. We have also been telling her that if the tests from Rochester support the doctor's view, that it is just the oppinion of the doctor. Their are a lot of people who prove doctors wrong. She can be one of those. We are all very sad here at the C.L. Fire Tower.

Very sad.
The best advice seems to be to continue living rather than prepare for dying.
Best wishes.
That is the direction that we are striving to maintain. Thank you for your wishes!
Well-wishes from Mpls way. It's gotta be tough to stay positive in the face of such a negative prognosis, but it sounds like she is surrounded by supportive, loving people which is the best place to be regardless of how things go.
Thank you also for your wishes.
