I remember many great times while spending just one year there. It was the best of times and also the worst of times. I grew a lot from my experiences there. I worked with a huge knuckle head and had to deal with a lot of issues that were never addressed in high school or college.
However, after ten years, I look back upon Lanesboro as a place that made a huge impression upon me. I thank her and will visit again soon. Sarah and I took part of our honeymoon in this sleepy and wonderful town. The memories of this town are good, and new chapters will be composed as my experiences there continue to be played out.
My friends, experiences are only brought to 100% of thier greatness if they are shared with family and friends. I look forward to many more trips and opportunities to hang out and to share those memories with you. Making our own memories together is always a welcomed treat!

Sharon & I once had a "pre-honeymoon" night in Lanesboro. The winter after she came back from Paraguay, we headed down there and spent a weekend at a bed & breakfast, and tried to pretend that we were married, checking in under the same last name and everything. There's NO WAY the proprietors cared, but it seemed pretty wild & crazy at the time.
It's, indeed, a sleepy town during the winter. Not so much so in the summer.
We would go to the Parkway Inn a couple of nights a week to shoot pool and enjoy beverages. Nice to have a quiet community in the winter when it is so busy in the spring-autumn.
The Commonwealth Theatre was still going in the winter and I caught at least one show there. Southeastern Minnesota can be just as majical to me as Northeastern Minnesota.
By the way, I remember you going to Lanesboro with Sharon. It was a good experience as I recall. However, getting up with others and striking conversation at breakfast was weird for you. I bet you and Sharon had some conversations about Lanesboro when you were headed to EB for the 5k trail run?
You remember well. I still have issues with staying at b&b's, in general. The extpectation of having conversation with the owners, whom & don't know well, isn't something I'm totally comfortable with. I'd rather just be left alone.
Scrooge.
Is it coming?
It?
I thought that Dan would say bah humbug. Then I would have replied with there it is.
Happy Halloween Brotha!
